Play to learn – fun and games* for GLAMers and educators

*and ALIA-approved professional development

A special, free showcase series of learning-sector-focused games days at my home (Western suburbs of Melbourne, near train & bus, subject to relocation depending on numbers) for GLAM folk, educators, and others.

Whether seeking to correct a cultural blind spot you may have inherited about the playful arts, beginning to develop your play literacy, or just wanting to build networks and have fun with others in the learning sectors, everyone is welcome to join us (as long as we have room).

Note that ALIA has confirmed that these sessions, plus suitable reflection as normal, are eligible to count towards your 30-hour PD requirement.

All are welcome to attend whichever sessions you like, as all will be basically stand-alone. All Sunday sessions will have core content finished between 4 and 5 pm, but people will be welcome to stay on for dinner and continued play if they wish, both for pleasure and to cement their learning.

Places may be limited, especially for later sessions. RSVP using the contact form below.

No charge, but if you can, please bring some food or non-alcoholic drink to share.

Finally, if you enjoy the sessions, please consider donating to support our work to support GLAM folks and teachers to get caught up on and make the most of play and games, and ultimately to create a world-class Institute of Play in Australia.
